Code of Conduct

ScaleUp Summit Network Code of Conduct

Where technical readiness meets real business outcomes

ScaleUp Summit Network is a curated, high-trust environment designed for founders, technical leaders, operators, and partners building and scaling technology-driven companies.

This is not a generic networking event.
It is a working environment where companies are evaluated, challenged, and prepared for real opportunities in expansion, partnerships, and capital.

To protect the quality, credibility, and outcomes of the experience, all participants agree to the following Code of Conduct.

Our Shared Principles

1. Respect the Operator Behind the Company

Participants at ScaleUp Summit are not early explorers; they are operators with real systems, teams, and responsibilities.Engage with professionalism at all times:

· Listen to understand, not to respond
· Challenge ideas, not people
· Assume competence and real experience behind every participant

This is a peer-level environment.

2. Contribute with Substance

ScaleUp is built on real experience, not theory.

Participants are expected to:

· Share practical insights from real operations
· Ask relevant, well-formed questions
· Engage in conversations that move companies forward

Low-value participation (generic advice, surface-level input) weakens the room.

3. No Pitch Zone — Earn Trust First

ScaleUp Summit operates under a strict education-first model.

Not allowed:

· Cold selling during sessions
· Aggressive self-promotion
· Interrupting conversations with commercial intent

Allowed:

· Sharing solutions only when contextually relevant
· Continuing conversations post-event with consent

Trust is built through expertise — not sales pressure.

4. Build Real, Not Superficial, Connections

This is a curated ecosystem of high-quality participants, not a volume-based networking space.

Participants should:

· Prioritize meaningful conversations over quantity
· Be intentional with introductions
· Respect the time and focus of others

One strong connection is more valuable than twenty shallow ones.

5. Operate with Integrity and Transparency

All interactions must reflect real capabilities and honest intent.

Not permitted:

· Misrepresentation of company, traction, or capabilities
· Misrepresentation of company, traction, or capabilities
· Sharing misleading or false informationExtracting contacts or data without consent

ScaleUp works because trust is assumed — don’t break it.

6. Respect the Technical Process

ScaleUp includes live technical and operational evaluation frameworks.

Participants must:

· Engage seriously with assessments and feedback
· Respect confidentiality of shared technical information
· Avoid using insights from others competitively or unethically

This is a working session, not a showcase.

Reporting Concerns

To maintain the quality of the experience, participants are expected to:

· Be fully present during sessions (no passive attendance)
· Engage in workshops, clinics, and discussions
· Follow through on relevant post-event conversations

ScaleUp is designed for execution — not observation.
