This will be the first KubeDay in Colombia and the entire region, organized by the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) to boost the local tech ecosystem and connect with the global Kubernetes community.

Why Colombia?

Colombia was chosen as the host country for the first KubeDay in Latin America due to its growing and dynamic tech community, as well as its impressive progress in adopting cloud-native and Kubernetes technologies. Previous events like Kubernetes Community Day (KCD) Colombia 2023, which gathered over 500 attendees, have shown strong interest and participation in the country, creating a favorable environment for expanding related initiatives across other Latin American nations.

This momentum wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication of the vibrant tech community in the region. Cuemby has contributed its part by collaborating with the official CNCF meetups in Colombia, along with other initiatives such as the collective building space of La Hora de Kubernetes, which has hosted over 100 presentations on technical topics and technology in Spanish for LATAM. Medellín, known for its innovative spirit, will be the epicenter of the Cloud Native revolution in 2024, and this event reflects the collective effort that continues to strengthen the Latin American tech ecosystem.
